The antique coal ironing press machine was used in the mid-20th century in India when there was scarce electricity. Hot pieces of coal were put into the cast iron machine which made the lower metal hot, then the ironing was done on clothes. In many regions, it is still believed that modern appliances cannot take out the creases as well as these old machines used to do.
These are purely vintage antique articles and hence please expect slight variations in color and texture and natural wear on the material due to age. Clean it with a dry or wet cloth.
