Purana Darwaza is a destination to experience India.

Purana Darwaza, is a marketplace for the finest quality Indian furniture and home décor items. Metaphorically it also means as an ancient doorway to experience the rich antique Indian furnishing and home décor. Me and my husband Ajeet started Purana Darwaza as a passion project - to let the rich heritage and culture of India in the form of its furniture and décor items reach the wider audience worldwide. So, I decided that it would be best if I became an entrepreneur and let my passion turn into a business and with the support of my husband, we successfully launched Purana Darwaza.

The company focuses on providing an opportunity for buyers from around the world to shop online for Unique Indian furnishings without having to go through much difficulty. To make Purana Darwaza a destination to experience India we take extra step to check if every product has been carefully crafted and packaged to ensure the highest quality. We work hard to make sure that everything we offer is not only beautiful and unique, but also meticulously crafted with love and care.

How We Started

Ever since I was young, I have been fascinated by the rich history and culture of India. This passion was fostered by my grandfather Mr Ram Prakash Singhal alias Lalji (Lalji Handicrafts) in Rajasthan, who built his business around Indian handicrafts and antique furniture. Over the years, I gained a deep appreciation for the beauty and intricacy of these classic pieces, and at that time I never imagined that one day, I wanted to take up this legacy by myself.

That day came when I started Purana Darwaza – a company dedicated to bringing the best in Indian furniture and décor to a global audience. Our focus on authentic craftsmanship and high-quality materials reflects my own dedication to maintaining the excellence of traditional Indian handicrafts. With each beautiful piece we create, we invite people from all over the world to experience a part of India's rich heritage for themselves – a legacy that has inspired me for as long as I can remember.
